Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does Marly Q do?

Marly Q is a professional keynote speaker, facilitator, author, and Wellness at Work™ consultant who helps people-first organizations reduce burnout risk, improve leadership communication, and build healthier workplace cultures.

Wellness at Work™ is a practical, science-backed approach that helps leaders prevent burnout and strengthen culture by improving how work is experienced day to day. Instead of adding more to people’s plates, it embeds micro-habits into meetings, communication, and team rhythms.

Wellness at Work™ is for people-first organizations—higher education, healthcare, government, nonprofits, and mission-driven teams—especially where leaders and staff are carrying heavy emotional and operational loads.

It helps reduce burnout risk, improve engagement, strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and create healthier work rhythms—without launching another wellness initiative.

Common signs include chronic stress, low morale, meeting fatigue, disengagement, communication breakdowns, absenteeism, turnover risk, and managers feeling overwhelmed or unsupported.

You can work with Marly Q as your personal Wellness at Work Consultant, Facilitator and/or Keynote Speaker, depending on your goals, timeline, and level of support needed.

Most clients start by booking a Wellness at Work™ Reset Call. If you’re unsure whether you need a Reset, Keynote, or Experience, the best place to start is booking a complimentary consultation so we can clarify your goals and recommend the right next step.

A Reset Call is a 75-minute 1:1 virtual consultation designed to assess what’s working, what’s creating burnout risk, and what to adjust next. You’ll receive a W@W Reset Report after the call with 1–3 practical shifts that will make the biggest difference right now.

Most clients leave with clearer priorities, reduced friction, and immediate next steps—especially around meeting culture, communication, and workload rhythms. The Reset Map helps you see what to protect, what to adjust, and what to implement first so change feels doable and measurable.

An Experience is an interactive session (or series) designed to help teams practice new behaviors in real time—improving meetings, communication, and team dynamics through guided facilitation and practical application. W@W Experiences can include workshops, lunch & learns, retreats, conferences, motivational concerts and more.

Every keynote includes a pre-event consultation to clarify your audience, goals, and challenges so the message lands. Marly Q customizes the talk to fit your culture and outcomes, and some keynote packages may also include books

Most common topics include burnout prevention, emotional resilience, psychological safety, leadership communication, kindness as a strength, success without self-sacrifice, and time ownership—so leaders can perform well without paying for it with their well-being.

A keynote is typically a 5 to 60-minute interactive talk that creates shared language, momentum, and a clear framework. An experience is usually a 60 – 90 minute, or 2 hour long workshop, lunch & learn, motivational concert-style session, retreat, or team learning experience designed for practice, implementation, and deeper behavior change.

What’s the difference between a facilitator and an emcee (MC)?

A facilitator leads interactive working sessions so teams can learn, align, and make progress together. An emcee (MC) hosts the overall event—guiding transitions, connecting speakers, managing energy, and ensuring the experience flows smoothly from start to finish. Marly Q has extensive experience serving as both a facilitator and emcee (MC).

Choose a W@W Reset for fast clarity and the smartest next steps. Choose a Keynote to align and energize your audience with shared language and momentum. Choose an Experience when you want teams to practice and embed new behaviors. If you’re unsure, the best place to start is a complimentary consultation.

A Wellness at Work™ Reset is a focused 75-minute virtual session with a short pre-call questionnaire required. Keynotes typically range from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on your event format and goals. Experiences begin at 60 minutes and can expand into a half-day or full-day session when deeper practice, alignment, or team implementation is needed.

Our Reset calls offer immediate boost in energy, clarity and action with practical shifts you can implement right away to make the biggest difference. Keynotes create momentum and shared language that continues long after the event. Experiences produce deeper, sustained change because teams practice the micro-habits in real time.

Hi, I’m Marly Q!

A former burned-out event planner turned Wellness at Work™ consultant, facilitator, and TEDx keynote speaker.

I used to be really good at absorbing everyone else’s stress… while quietly running on fumes behind the scenes. After a few too many burnout experiences, I learned this the hard way:

Burnout isn’t a personal problem. It’s a work-design problem.

It shows up in the way the workday is experienced—back-to-back meetings, constant task switching, pressure to perform, and little to no time to reset. That’s why most wellness programs and perks don’t stick. They become “one more thing”… and good intentions fade by next Monday.

Wellness at Work™ is different.
I help people-first leaders reduce burnout risk and improve how work feels—inside the workday—using practical, science-backed micro-habits teams actually use in real time.
